WHY THE FUK DO THEY CALL IT A WINDOW IF IT'S A PROGRAM'S INTERFACE?

I communicate with aliens via brain signals
but they keep asking what window i am talking
about when i mean to talk about windows on the
linux desktop.
they think i am refering to windows of buildings,
homes, etc.
some even make fun of me and say i must be talking
about microsoft windows xp and etc.
this is really frustrating.
what to do.
it makes me suicidal.
